Guiper took my family (including 2 middle school kids & 2 grandparents) to Chichen Izta over 10 years ago. He was a knowledgeable and fun tour guide. Flash forward and our kids are now a Junior & Senior in college. We decide to plan a Mexican vacation and they almost beg to go back to Chichen Itza. They wanted to experience it through more mature eyes. So we thankfully Guiper set up a tour for us with Jean-Paul. Jean-Paul was fabulous. He tailored our tour as he got to know us. My husband has watched many a documentary on the Mayan world and had lots of questions. Jean-Paul answered every question very completely and with passion. Chichen Itza and Ek Balam are fascinating, but I can’t imagine going without a knowledgeable guide, we are so glad we had Guiper and Jean-Paul! He treated us to an outstanding lunch buffet. The food was scrumptious. Followed by some time swimming in a cenote. Competing with a tour of the colonial town of Valladolid and a trip to an ice cream shop ;). Our day with Mayan World Travels could not have gone better. We hope to plan another tour with them again. Hopefully we won’t wait so long this time.
